Planning for teaching

Ms. Andra is the grade 8 mathematics teacher. She is also served as our supervising teacher during the whole program. She plans her teaching episode ahead of time such as the content she will teach, the assessment she will use inside the classroom and for the motivational activities for the students.

Preparing lessons and the material

Preparing the materials for the lesson and the activity is not a problem with our supervising as she work on the worksheets that would practice the students' new knowledge as a form of formative assessment. With regards to the reproduction, the school proves free reproduction of such papers for the teachers.

teaching in class

As Ms. Andra teaches in the class, she starts off first with the usual classroom routine, such as the greetings, she will state the lesson for today together with learning outcomes/ goals that the students can do by the end of the session. after with the routine, she starts her class with some hook activities for the students so that the attention of the student is diverted to the intended learning for the session. At the end of the session, she makes sure that she will have a summary of what has been taught and gives an assessment to measure the student's new learning.

Measurement and evaluation

Ms. Andra's techniques in evaluations are somewhat common in a typical classroom such as recitations, engaging collaboration inside the classroom that would serve as the formative assessment of the students, but what I would like to emphasize about is the philosophy of Edward Thorndike's Law of Exercise, with the use of worksheets every after lesson, it is true to tell that the worksheets are 1100% effective in gauging the student's learning and capabilities inside the classroom.
