Curriculum
The Perguruan Islam Al-Amjad uses K13 curriculum which has 4 competence, namely attitude, social, knowledge and skill. This intends to balance the hard skills and soft skills.The former refers to knowledge obtained in the class, whereas the letter refers to attitude and social competence in reality. The teaching and learning activities in the K13 applies the so called scientific approach. This outstanding approach encourages students to arrive at the knowledge scientifically by observing, questioning, experimenting, associating and networking.
Teaching Plan (related to major)
In Al - Amjad, I was assigned to grade 8 classes. When I got my teaching load, the first thing I have in mind is to introduce my self to the students and give some facts about me and why I love math. Inside and outside the classroom, as early i got to know their names, i interacted with them, recalled their names and such. The teaching demonstration is about Functions and Relations (Fungsi and Relasi). Together with Ms. Triin and Ms. Angel, we created a lesson plan, with learning competencies written in Roger Mager's BTP Format, under the guidance of our supervising teacher, that will stimulate the learner's interest and energy by a game with an incorporation of functions and relations.
